Our Team

  • Rebecca

Rebecca is the owner and founder of JPPC, she does the majority of the client communication and of course lots of dog care and training! Rebecca has over a decade of professional experience in the dog industry ranging from her work at a commercial kennel to dog walking and pet sitting beginning at a young age.

Rebecca founded JPPC in 2018 and has since dedicated her time to expanding her knowledge on dog behavior, body language, training, and everything that goes along with it. Rebecca has a passion for working with and providing safe and secure boarding to selective, reactive, or aggressive dogs. While offering boarding to behaviorally challenging dogs Rebecca found that they required basic training and a knowledgeable handler in order to give them confidence in a new environment and her training journey began.

Rebecca has now completed over 400 professional training hours, is constantly continuing her education on training, and is currently working towards obtaining her Certified Canine Behavior Counselor (CCBC).

  • Valerie

Valerie is a member of the JPPC team who provides dog care and training. You might also meet her when you drop off or pick up your pup. She is a work-from-home professional, and a registered nurse. Valerie has 30 years of healthcare experience, 18 years of experience owning dogs, and 6 years of professional dog boarding and training experience.

Valerie credits one of her first pets, Rusty, for her current place in the dog world. Rusty was a rescue pup with a bite history, and he struggled with severe reactivity and anxiety. This led to Valerie’s interest in behavior modification and training. In addition to a wealth of experiential knowledge, Valerie is also in the process of obtaining her training credentials from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT).

Valerie’s healthcare experience has been primarily as an RN in Newborn ICU and has carried over to give her the skills necessary to care for dogs with medical needs. Her skills include subcutaneous fluids, insulin and other medication administration, and observation related to other conditions.

  • Rachel

Rachel is our third member of the JPPC team who helps cover play groups and care. She's also involved in tech support and desk work. Before entering the dog world Rachel worked with horses for several years, resulting in a library of transferrable skills. She also enjoys reading, and stays up to date on the science behind training and caring for dogs in order to best meet their physical and mental needs.

Rachel worked for commercial dog boarding facilities as a teen, and eventually started boarding through Rover in 2017. This eventually sparked a love for the level of personal in-home care that JPPC offers today. She’s also thrilled that we’ve been able to expand to the training side of things, which allowed her to learn more about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

When not with the pups, Rachel is happy to be responsible for a large portion of the background work within our business including web design and administrative support. So while you may not see her often, you can rest assured she's hard at work keeping our ducks, or dogs, in a row.
